Louis Zhang Studio designed Chuan Royal China's second restaurant in London, capturing Chengdu's spirit while maintaining brand identity. Inspiration came from Sichuanese woodcarvings, night market colours, and street food textures. Opulent colours and rich textures were used, like deep reds, oranges, and golds, silk, velvet, and brocade. The centrepiece is a stunning display of traditional woodcarvings, illuminated by soft lighting. Custom-made chairs and banquettes feature silk and velvet upholstery, and porcelain dishes and teapots imported from Chengdu. The restaurant is a luxurious experience that transports diners to the heart of Chengdu.
